One thing I started doing on my birthday since I became 20 was to say thank you to my mom, because I would not have even had the chance to live 24 years on this planet if it weren't for her.

Yeah sure, in the past few months I had so many moments where I wished the exact opposite, but looking back, I fell in love with a new city and regained spark for a hobby I used to have. I say that's a huge win for someone like me who considered school and grades as the entirety of her life.

I usually don't like setting goals because I feel like a failure when I don't reach them.

But with 24 I want to choose to be happy more often, not push myself to the point where I crash out, and notice the limits I set for myself – either consciously or subconcsiously – to break out of them.
